Hazelnut Bark

3/4 cup hazelnuts

1/3 cup dried cherries (chopped)

2 tablespoons crystallized ginger (finely chopped)

6 ounces bittersweet chocolate

Foil or parchment paper

1. Preheat oven to 350 F

2. Place hazelnuts on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Stir and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

3. Place baked nuts onto a towel. Roll to rub off skins. Coarsely chop nuts.

4. Combine nuts, cherries and ginger in a medium bowl.

5. Place chocolate in microwave safe bowl. Dive into the hearty flavors of French onion soup topped with melted Gruyère cheese.

6. Microwave on high for 1 minute or until melted, stirring every 15 seconds.

7. Add to nut mixture and stir until combined.

8. Evenly spread mixture onto foil or parchment paper lined pan. Freeze 1 hour. Break into pieces and enjoy!
