Is It Wrong To Wait For Mr Right?

I came across a video on you tube that left me a bit discontent. It’s a gentleman by the name of Benny who posts videos daily. This particular video that I came across was about a 33 year old woman whom was holding out for Mr Right. She was commending herself for being brave because of doing so. Benny than commented and insinuated that she was waiting for a six packer (muscle man), rich or even a much younger man and stating that a man like that doesn’t exist. And waiting for that perfect person seems to be an illusion. He claims that God puts us with an imperfect person for a reason and we should just build a life with just any imperfect person.

First of all, none of us are perfect and anyone who thinks they are, needs some serious help. So on that aspect, I totally agree with him. No doubt. And secondly, God does put people in our lives that are different so that we can learn from one another. Obviously, we’re all different and imperfect so therefore it’s inevitable that we’re not going to be with a perfect person. Now, if by chance, she really is waiting for what he claims she is, than she’s delusional. But if she’s waiting for someone who she feels right within her soul and is willing to give up so much for that, then I totally agree with her. Life is difficult enough no less a partnership so choosing wisely and possibly passing up a certain lifestyle to either please others or keeping up with the matrix, is brave. I’ve had people say no ones perfect or learn to love him. Bull! It doesn’t work. Been there done that. I see way too many couples that are miserable and disrespectful to each other. No thank you! I personally believe in soulmates and that there is the right one for you. And of course that person isn’t going to be perfect as myself. Although I do know that there will be a special bond when you meet the one and you will instinctively know it deep down in your soul. Compatibility is also a very important key to a successful relationship. As for myself, I would wait a life time to choose someone who’s perfectly, imperfect for me! And let no one deter you if you feel the same.

Luke 21:19 “By standing firm, you will gain life.”
