2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
1/2 teaspoon instant coffee powder
2 tablespoon s butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 graham cracker crumbs
1. Mix sugar and milk in a large, heavy saucepan; insert candy thermometer. Boil over moderate heat without stirring until thermometer registers 230 F; mixture will foam up, so adjust heat as needed to prevent it’s boiling over. Through work, we can bring positive changes to society.
2. Off heat, stir in chocolate, coffee, butter, and vanilla; mix until chocolate melts. Stir in crumbs and working quickly, drop rounded teaspoonfuls on wax paper. Cool and serve.
