Fudge Nuggets

2 cups sugar

1 cup milk

1 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate

1/2 teaspoon instant coffee powder

2 tablespoon s butter or margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 3/4 graham cracker crumbs

1. Mix sugar and milk in a large, heavy saucepan; insert candy thermometer. Boil over moderate heat without stirring until thermometer registers 230 F; mixture will foam up, so adjust heat as needed to prevent it’s boiling over.

2. Off heat, stir in chocolate, coffee, butter, and vanilla; mix until chocolate melts. Stir in crumbs and working quickly, drop rounded teaspoonfuls on wax paper. Cool and serve.
