Health & Physical Strength

The body is put together as an efficient machine that needs to be maintained. Our strengths need not only be internal but also external. Our inner strength is ruled primarily by the mind and the external strength is to build our body’s strength in order for the body to perform efficiently. Physical inactivity is the primary risk factor for coronary heart disease. We have two categories to gain physical strength. One of which is aerobic exercise such as walking, running, biking and stair climbing. Then there’s anaerobic exercise which in sports and fitness is referred to as high intensity, short duration activities such as weight training.

To keep the body healthy, one must incorporate both a healthy diet along with an exercise program that best suits your needs. When it comes to aerobic exercise, pick one that you enjoy and get your heart pumping. As for anaerobic exercise, you can use weight machines at the gym, strength training books or pick up a pair of dumbbells and follow a video. Also, if you can afford it, hire a personal trainer. All that matters is that you workout the major muscles. Start with the largest muscle groups and work down to reduce any injury risk. Make sure to stretch before exercising because it helps you move more efficiently and reduce sudden shock placed on muscles during intense activity.
