Cocoa-Oatmeal Cookies

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 cup margarine, softened

1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon chocolate extract, if desired

2 egg whites or 1/4 cup cholesterol free egg product

3 cups quick-cooking oats

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup cocoa

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1. Heat oven to 350 F.

2. Mix sugar, margarine, yogurt, water, vanilla, chocolate extract and egg whites in a large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients.

3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie.

4. Bake 9-11 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched.

Yields: 5 1/2 dozen
