The Benefits Of Herbs

Herbs are dried leaves of plants that are used for flavoring, fragrance and medicinal purpose. They offer a wide range of health benefits because they’re rich in antioxidants which are compounds that helps protect the cells from damage. They also have anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce pain, swelling and redness caused by conditions arthritis, asthma and digestive issues and contain antibacterial and anti-fungal components that can help fight infection and boost immunity. They help aid in cardiovascular and brain health as well and other added benefits such as reducing anxiety, enhancing mood, improves skin health, regulates blood sugar levels and promotes wound healing.

Herbs are grown in many places, both outdoors in gardens and indoors on windowsills. They prefer at least six hours a day with full sunlight. Herbs thrive best in the Mediterranean region where there’s warm, sunny and dry conditions. I love fresh herbs and try to grow them when the weather is warm. My parents were from Europe and were into gardening so we always had fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables in our home. And make sure to add some herbs in your life so that you can stay healthy.
